Commercial Archaeology
HAS work on commercial projects across the north of Scotland. From Moray to the Outer Hebrides and the north coast to Perth, we work with big companies like SSE and BEAR Scotland along with individual house builders. If you have a question about planning or would like some advice on archaeological work ahead of infrastructure have a look below or get in touch.
Walkover Survey
We have decades of experience in carrying out walkover surveys across the Highlands and Islands ahead of commercial developments such as wind farms, run of river hydro schemes, new pipelines and over-head lines. We have completed a number of surveys for tree plantation and peat restoration works, meeting local authority and Forestry Land Scotland (FLS) standards for the preservation and management of archaeological features.
Watching Brief
HAS undertakes watching briefs for a range of projects from single house plots to large infrastructure projects.
Trial Trenching
Many larger scale projects require a programme of trial trenching ahead of development to check the site for buried archaeological remains. If your project needs this type of work get in touch with us for a costing. The HAS team are familiar with the different trial trenching requirements across the north of Scotland.
