James McGovern

Archaeologist

James started working for HAS in 2021. He has more than 10 years of commercial archaeology experience across the UK and Iceland, working for a range of commercial archaeological units. He has been a project supervisor for the Westfjord Iceland Nature Research Centre. Since joining HAS James has led several projects including walkover surveys for forestry and peat restoration, evaluations for housing and infrastructure developments. James has a particular interest in Viking settlement and Historical research.
